Remember Eduard Uspensky's book "Down the Magic River"? Well, "Yozhka Goes to School" is a modern take on that beloved tale, where characters from all sorts of different fairy tales meet in one story.
Here is the thing: a school called "Fairy Tale" has opened in the suburbs of St. Petersburg, and its first and only class has invited the grandchildren of Baba Yaga, Gorynych, Kikimora the Swamp Witch, Vasilisa the Wise, and various other characters. Not just for fun, but to conduct a socio-psychological experiment: to find out how the "wicked" and the "pure" will influence each other, who will emerge as the leader, and who will be the conformist.
The first-graders will not only have to get used to school and a new lifestyle but also fight stereotypes and distance themselves from the bad reputations of their ancestors. After all, it's just not fair: does being born into Koschei’s family mean you are automatically a hopeless villain and a greedy jerk? And if you are a descendant of Vasilisa the Beautiful, are you automatically a sweetheart? Nothing of the sort! We are in the 21st century, after all; every individual has free will...
Will the whole class take the righteous path, or, on the contrary, will everyone go down the crooked path? That is the question!
So, all these magical little ones arrived at school and settled on campus, and the campus is no ordinary one: the Frog Princess lives in the petting zoo, a self-spreading tablecloth cooks the meals in the cafeteria, and rejuvenating apples grow in the garden... The students appreciated the surroundings and quickly broke off into groups. Those who turned out to be smarter soon turned their sleeping quarters into reading quarters because the school library is so vast it makes your head spin.
Well, with life sorted out, it's time to move on to adventures! Are you ready to fly on a Gorynych, work as entertainers in a recreation park, hunt for treasure, heal with living and dead water, and catch a chicken thief? Welcome to "Fairy Tale"!
