The heroes of Evgenia Basova live in harmony with nature - she becomes one of the characters in the book. The boy Kolya from the story "Our Earth - breathes" lives far in the North, in the land of larches and elfin cedar - a plant that goes to sleep in the winter like a bear. Sasha, a scientist, or rather, a sophomore, and his eight-year-old neighbor Dimka live in the middle lane, in the village of Koshkino, lost among the hills. Realistic and almost fabulous, the two stories complement each other in their own way.
