Sofia Remez: Limonata

The small southern town of Limonata is famous for its lemons, which never spoil. The locals lead a serene and measured life: they make strawberry jam, exchange books, and every Monday they buy sweets that Gentile brings in his truck.
But one day Arabiato appears in the city. He sells fruit drinks made from green berries. This drink, according to him, will cheer up the sad and give strength to the tired. Residents of Limonata try it ... and change beyond recognition. They no longer need sweets, and there is not a trace of their former good nature. Only the eight-year-old Kapuchinka and her faithful friend Frida the lizard did not try fruit drinks. Together with the seller of sweets Gentile, they go in search of an antidote.
Sofia Remez is a journalist, screenwriter and prose writer. "Lemonata" is her first experience in the fairy tale genre.
