While in Istanbul, the great detective Hercule Poirot returns to England on the famous Orient Express, which is carrying, it seems, representatives of every possible nationality. One of the passengers, an unpleasant American named Ratchett, asks Poirot to become his bodyguard because he believes someone is going to kill him. The famous Belgian brushes off this absurd request. The next day, the American is found dead in his compartment, with the doors locked and the window open. Poirot immediately takes on the investigation and discovers that the compartment is full of all sorts of clues that point… to almost every passenger on the Orient Express. To make matters worse, the train is stuck fast in snowdrifts in a desolate location. Poirot must find the killer before the express continues its journey…
