The poem "The House Moved" is dedicated to a real event - the movement of house No. 5/6 along Serafimovich Street in Moscow, which interfered with the construction of the Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge in 1937. A feature of this movement was the need to raise the building (weight 7500 tons) to a height of 1.87 m. Nevertheless, the movement took place without the resettlement of residents.
