That day, Dasha went to the Hermitage with her dad. Standing by a display case with Egyptian amulets, she suddenly heard a whisper. A little black stone snake commanded: "Open the door!" Dasha didn't even realize she had set the evil god Apep free! He had always dreamed of swallowing the sun, and this time he succeeded: instead of a bright disk, only a black circle remained, as if there were a hole in the sky. And only Dasha, together with her fluffy helper, can rescue the sun. To do this, they will have to journey into the myths of Ancient Egypt, outwit the Sphinx, and meet gods and mummies.
"Dasha in Search of the Sun" launches an entire series of books about time travel. Or, to be more precise, travel through the myths and legends of different countries. Dasha will navigate the Minotaur's labyrinth, meet Vikings, and visit King Arthur's table: there's no telling what will happen to those gifted with the unusual ability to hear the thoughts of various creatures, as well as with imagination and courage.
