The board game “Ghost Letters” is a psychological detective game about city residents trying to solve a mysterious crime.
Welcome to Sidewood, a quiet and peaceful town... until recently. The police were already off their feet trying to solve the mysterious murder, but then otherworldly forces intervened. While the ghost of the victim sends clues, the townspeople try to interpret them correctly... and not fall for the tricks of the killers who are trying to confuse the investigation.
“Ghost Letters” is a mystery role-playing game about investigating a crime. From the 12 clues (images of objects) found at the crime scene, detective players figure out 3 true clues. The detectives are helped by the Ghost Player (victim of the crime) with the help of other clues, associatively hinting at the true evidence. There is a Killer hiding among the Detectives who is trying to confuse the investigation. The game lasts 4 rounds:
- players choose from their hand and pass 1 piece of evidence face down to the Ghost;
- The ghost opens the successful ones. And the unsuitable ones are left closed.
The player with the secret role of the Killer seeks to confuse the investigation - both by discussing open evidence and by bluffing about evidence left closed.
After 4 rounds, the players vote by majority for 3 clues and the Killer player. The more players, the more interesting roles: Accomplices of the Murderer, Witness, Expert, Blackmailer.
