Who doesn't know the story of the fearsome crocodile who never brushed his very scary teeth? This wonderful tale by Boris Zakhoder, "Ma-Tari-Kari," was adapted into an animated film in 1976.
Our book includes five stories: "Ma-Tari-Kari," "Why Fish Are Silent," "The Little Rusachok Hare," "What the Turkey Was Thinking," and "Once Upon a Time There Was a Fip," featuring bright and expressive illustrations by Svetlana Bushmanova. The stories are also complemented by educational inserts that explain how many teeth crocodiles have, what otters are, and how a tadpole grows into a frog.
