Only the injustices of life - when, for example, spoiled Timothy gets all the prizes, and Santa Claus is not who he claims to be - make him act decisively.
David Henry Wilson shows the funny side of a little boy's life (not to mention his parents), and illustrator Axel Scheffler's gentle humor (The Gruffalo, The Snail and the Whale) perfectly complements the author's kind irony.
