Anne Frank (1929-1945) was a German-born Jewish girl who, after Hitler came to power, hid with her family from the Nazi terror in the Netherlands. In her diary, she tells an imaginary friend about everything that happens to her and to the other inhabitants of the shelter. This diary was first published in 1947, reprinted many times, translated into dozens of languages and became a real memorial to the victims of the Holocaust.
