The adventures of Arabel and Mortimer continue! A raven is a fickle bird: Mortimer absolutely must sleep in a bread bin and cover himself with a green necktie, which, by the way, must be cooled in the refrigerator beforehand, otherwise Mortimer will be upset. Arabel is always there to look after him. But as soon as these inseparable companions are apart, trouble immediately ensues: traffic lights vanish, Dad faints, and a grand piano sinks into the sea. Quentin Blake's lively illustrations perfectly complement the text, while Elena Mamontova's sensitive translation conveys the author's subtle humor beautifully.
