The story "Down the Magic River" is not very simple. City boy Mitya is a pioneer. And of course, he does not believe in all sorts of fairy tales about Baba Yaga, Koshchei and the Serpent Gorynych. On the instructions of his grandmother, he goes to her relative, the old woman Yegorovna, to help with the housework. And now Mitya is in the Thirtieth Kingdom, and Yegorovna is not Yegorovna at all, but Baba Yaga. This is where the fabulously funny adventure ends and harsh everyday life in the struggle for a just cause begins, because in fairy tales it is just as difficult to defend freedom and justice as in real life.
