The Furry Boarding School is a place where intelligent, speaking creatures live and learn, bearing a striking resemblance to ordinary animals: a badger, a weasel, a squirrel, a wolf, and a mole... Their teacher, a girl named Lyusya, does not realize who they really are for a long time, yet she becomes deeply attached to her obedient and cheerful pupils. Lyusya herself is also a student, in the fourth grade. She constantly compares the behavior of her classmates, who view their studies as a burdensome chore, with that of her curious, diligent, and friendly charges. The characters of the human and animal children were conceived and illustrated by People's Artist of Russia Viktor Chizhikov. For primary school age.
