The young witch Kiki has turned thirteen, which means that it's time to start an independent life. Choose a city where there are no other witches, find a job to your liking - and learn to cope with difficulties. And a thirteen-year-old girl has many difficulties, even if she were not a witch. Finally, on a clear full moon night, Kiki flies away to a new life. She decides to start it in the large seaside town of Koriko, where witches are hardly heard of. And now she needs to settle down and earn a living in some kind of witchcraft, of which Kiki has perfectly mastered only flying on a broomstick and chatting with her black cat Jiji. But the solution comes pretty quickly - after all, people always need a quick delivery service! And Kiki takes over.
