“Ariol” is a series of fun comics about the daily life of a little donkey and his best friend, a mischievous but very endearing piglet. They go to school together, go on vacation together, play together, and mess around together. They were created by Emmanuel Guibert, one of the most respected French comic artists and a winner of the René Goscinny Award for screenwriting, and illustrated by the renowned children's illustrator Marc Boutavant.
“Ariol” is one of the rare examples in today's comic whirlwind of truly family-friendly reading, in which everyone will find something for themselves, regardless of age. Everyone who has kept at least a drop of the child inside them. Not an all-knowing and all-denying teenager, but specifically a child — naive, curious, free from clichés and stereotypes.
Mom, Dad, and Ariol are a close-knit donkey family. At first glance, there are only three of them, but let’s take a closer look! If you consider that Mom loves Dad, Dad loves Mom, Mom loves Ariol, Dad loves Ariol, and Ariol loves Mom and Dad, well, that’s a lot of people!
