“Ariol” is a series of fun comics about the everyday life of a little donkey and his best friend, a mischievous but very endearing piglet. They go to school together, go on vacation together, play together, and goof around together.
“Ariol” is one of the rare examples in today’s comic whirlwind of truly family-friendly reading, in which everyone will find something for themselves, regardless of age. Anyone who has kept even a drop of a child inside. Not an all-knowing and all-denying teenager, but specifically a child — naive, curious, and free from clichés and stereotypes.
Monsieur Cantharide, Bizbille’s dad, is an ophthalmologist. In other words, an eye doctor. Ariol goes to see him every year to find out if it’s time to change his glasses. And today is that very day! Bizbille has put on her prettiest dress and even brought orange juice and a full plate of cookies to Dr. Cantharide’s waiting room. Buzzing with impatience, she keeps looking outside, since she’ll have to wait a whole year for Ariol’s next visit!
