If you don't believe in miracles, this book is for you, because fairy tales can be found in everyone's life!
City children often know nothing about nature, and only meet forest dwellers in school lessons. That's just how the heroines of this book plunge from city life into forest adventures. The taiga hides many unknowns. And certainly, much that is magical. Of course, sisters Vera and Varya have no idea about this as they head off to visit their grandfather in Siberia for summer vacation. They think it's quite the opposite. To these city girls, the forest is boring, and perhaps even scary. If they can't even hide from spiders and ants in their grandfather's yard, what monsters might be waiting for them in the thick of the woods?! But a fairy tale enters the sisters' lives without warning or a long prologue. Suddenly, the Leshy awakens, Vera and Varya set off in search of his magic staff, and at the end of their journey, they discover the secret of their family...
