Crimea. A warm summer sea, sultry air scented with pine needles and iodine, two-day hikes, mandatory workouts and time for oneself, discos and ghost stories before bed—the usual itinerary of an ordinary children's sports camp. One night, Sonya Gamayunova leaves her room on a dare and never returns, and this disappearance sets off a chain of mysterious incidents. Strange events unfold at the camp, ancient fairy tales and legends come to life, and Marta Vesnova strikes up an acquaintance with a genuine ifrit—a spirit of fire. "Once It Seems It Will Seem" is a spellbinding mystical novella. Its characters—ordinary children and adults, wise witches, spirits of the four elements, and dwellers of the world beyond—must confront an ancient evil. Never before have summer adventures been so magical and dangerous! To be continued.
