The author of the book is a famous figure skater, two-time Olympic champion, world champion, four-time European champion, and three-time Russian champion. Tatiana now runs a figure skating center where she teaches children not only how to skate and perform complex figures, but also how to strive for the pinnacle of sport and victory in competitions.
The path to sporting triumphs and medals is not easy! An athlete knows this better than anyone. Every athlete has their own coach who sees and hears the child, provides personal recommendations to parents regarding the child's nutrition and daily routine, and monitors the completion of tasks outside of training hours.
You can learn figure skating elements, get advice on daily training, and discover the secrets that every coach uses when working with their student from Tatiana Volosozhar.
The book includes the history of figure skating from the first skates to the modern era, the achievements of the most famous figure skaters, basic elements, rules, costumes and makeup, a look at competitions, training camps and daily preparation, psychological support for athletes, as well as activity tasks.
By following the QR codes in the book to the Center’s website, anyone can watch videos demonstrating specific figure skating elements.
At the very end of the book is a message to all young figure skaters from Tatiana Volosozhar and an introduction to her Figure Skating Center.
