A brownie lives in the grocer's house. The grocer treats him to porridge with butter every Christmas Eve—what more could one wish for to be happy? But then one day, a poor student comes into the shop and, instead of food, buys... an old book of poems. How can poems be better than a fresh piece of cheese? And what does it mean to understand poetry? The curious brownie wants to find out, and wonderful discoveries await him...
