A year to become better
Proper nutrition, the benefits of exercise, mindfulness, the positive influence of meditation… of course, you've heard of them. But which of these has become second nature to us? What has become a habit and a matter of course? Often, we are forced to admit: not much.
We usually think that changing habits is something global, requiring great effort and giving up a pleasant lifestyle. The good news: nothing of the sort! Tiny, barely noticeable, but regular actions can change our lives dramatically. If we do one push-up a day, it is much better than doing nothing at all. The algorithm for habit formation is well-studied: any habit that does not require a high level of skill can be formed in 21–30 days.
That is what we will be doing in 2024. This book contains summaries of 12 global bestsellers and 12 infographics on forming healthy habits. Let’s do it together—each month, we will look into what our habits consist of and acquire the ones that are important for our well-being and happiness.
