Lucky Luke is a charming and fearless lonely cowboy from the time of the conquest of the American Wild West. He is a real hero, and even a superhero, honest and fair, a defender of all the weak and helpless. He always stands on the side of the law, helping local authorities resist bandits and other villains. Like a true superhero, he has his own superpower: to shoot faster than his own shadow!

Each story about Lucky Luke is an exciting and highly educational comedy western, which reflects real events associated with the exploration of the Wild West. In The Dalton Brothers, the main character is opposed by four Dalton brothers, who are evil but not very smart. They want to take revenge on Luke for their cousins, even bigger bandits than themselves, but defeating the lucky cowboy is not so easy. The Dalton brothers will appear more than once in stories about Lucky Luke, because they are the main comic characters of the entire series, where their surname has become a common name, synonymous with stupidity and stupidity.

Comics about Lucky Luke are designed for a wide audience. Both children and older readers will be delighted with the adventure plot outline, masterly caricature drawing, good irony and humor in literally every frame. The humor, usually based on wordplay and sitcom principles, never falls below the belt. And despite the fact that the heroes are constantly waving pistols and doing bang-bang, there is neither rudeness nor violence in these stories. The main character shoots only to deftly knock the weapon out of the hands of his opponents with a well-aimed shot. And opponents, naturally, always miss. It's safe to say that no characters were harmed in any of the stories. Apart from the bruises and bumps that negative heroes deservedly receive from time to time.

Particularly worth noting is the easy-to-read large font, thanks to which comics about Lucky Luke are suitable for beginning readers and will become for them the first step to reading the novels of Fenimore Cooper and Mine Reid.
The creators of “Lucky Luke” are two brilliant Belgian humorists the artist Maurice de Bever, who worked under the pseudonym Morris, and the Frenchman Rene Goscinny, well known to Russian readers for the cycle of stories “Little Nicolas” and for the comics about Asterix, where he also acted as a screenwriter.
