In an ordinary town, standing on an ordinary river, there is a lane called Laurel Lane. Seemingly ordinary adults and children live there. But the stories that happen to them regularly, over the course of many years, or perhaps even centuries, are not entirely ordinary, although they aren't fairy tales either. That’s just the way they are, the residents of Laurel Lane. Illustrations by Nikolai Vorontsov. For primary school age.

Or a grown man who is a tamer of wild slippers? Exactly! Laurel Lane is a mysterious place...
