Grigory Oster’s tales about a microbe with the endearing name Petka are a series of fun stories in which two worlds coexist: our human world and the microbial one, where everything is almost as it is for humans. The microbes go to work at the dairy plant to make yogurt and kefir, ride the bus, and generally maintain excellent relationships with people. And the fact that they are very small makes their interactions even more interesting. Petka is an optimist microbe. Because he is useful: he knows how to make kefir. And in general, he is always ready to help: scientists—to look for elementary particles, an uncle—to acquire immunity, preschoolers—to scare a mean slacker... It’s nice to know that such friendly, albeit invisible, creatures live right next to you!
