"A Fairy Tale with Details" resembles a colorful patchwork quilt or a jigsaw puzzle. Only instead of fabric scraps or puzzle pieces, there are characters here. A great many characters. And each of them has their own little story. They are all tightly interwoven, forming one large fairy-tale narrative that has absolutely everything: bandits and police, a children's magazine editorial office and an absent-minded poet, Matvey the unruly goat and Byasha the timid sheep, Mother Monkey and her children, schoolchildren and preschoolers, athletes and firefighters, the magical kis-kis root and an upside-down baobab, a boy named Fedya, and planet Earth. And also – carousel horses, thanks to whom this amazing story was born. It turns out that not only children love listening to fairy tales, but... horses do too! And not just ordinary ones, but carousel horses from an amusement park.
They get so tired from giving children rides all day that in the evening they just can't settle down and fall asleep. That is why they ask the park director to tell them fairy tales.
But one day, every single fairy tale the director knew ran out. Only one remained, the very last one...
How the carousel horses will fall asleep now is something the famous writer, author of "Naughty Tips" and the "38 Parrots" and "Kitten Named Woof" fairy tale series, Grigory Oster, will tell us.
