AI: how machines could replace us

The idea of creating a living being in our own image is an old dream. Stronger, more intelligent, capable of great feats, this super-human has fueled the imagination of science fiction writers and filmmakers. And even if we are still far from the robots of our favorite movies, the technology that could bring them to life already exists. It’s called artificial intelligence: "AI." We don’t see it, yet it is everywhere: in our phones, our computers, our cars, at the doctor's office, and it is already making decisions for us... for better and sometimes for worse.
