This is an extraordinary story about friendship and understanding, about books, book walkers, and the paths that life leads us down.
For lovers of heartwarming novels that offer warmth and hope.
Every day, Carl Kollhoff, an elderly bookstore clerk, delivers books to customers' homes. These are special customers for whom Carl selects special books. Carl calls each of his clients by the name of a literary character (Hercules, Faust, Effi, and Mr. Darcy) and visits each one regularly, following the same route on his book walk.
But one day, a little girl joins him, disrupting the ritual and literally bursting into the lives of Carl and his customers.
