Jonas and his parents have moved to a new city, where the streets flood during high tides and heavy rains. Just a few weeks after moving, the boy finds a tiny sailor in the basement who imagines himself to be Mr. Ocean. He had been washed overboard from his own ship during a storm and carried to the stairs of Jonas's basement.
Soon, the boy grows fond of the little sea dog, and they become best friends. But the call of the sea grows stronger in Mr. Ocean’s heart with each passing day: he dreams of a ship on which he can set sail once again. Jonas does not want to part with his only friend—but a ship must be found!
A colorfully illustrated story, rendered in a unique technique, about friendship and mutual understanding for primary school children.
