One of the best artists of the Soviet period who illustrated Russian folk tales, Pavel Grigoryevich Ponomarenko. His works can be safely called masterpieces of book graphics. For his illustrations, P.G. Ponomarenko was awarded medals at the International book exhibitions and competitions more than once.
