Marina Taranenko, winner of the National Children's Literature Award, has written a book that will help little ones understand their emotions. Through the story's main character, a girl named Pati (whose full name, of course, is Empathy), children will learn how to properly identify their feelings and successfully cope with negative emotions.
Children especially need support when emotions overwhelm them. It is important not only to be able to distinguish and name them correctly but also to know what to do so as not to lose control: not to get stuck in the swamp of envy, not to get lost in the fog of shyness, and not to freeze in the icy castle of resentment.
