Two young sorceresses, Vesnushka and Mirta, live with their wise uncle Oxalis in a cozy house at the edge of the forest. One morning, while gathering herbs for a potion, they meet a timid wanderer – a boy named Julius and his unusual companion, a clever pet duck named Brioche. In Julius's backpack, they discover something that shouldn't be there at all: a rare dragon egg that is just about to hatch.
The heroes must embark on a dangerous journey to the foot of Dragon Mountain to return the newborn dragon to its mother. Along the way, the children face serious trials, which they will overcome not only with magical abilities but also with the best human qualities – patience, courage, and the ability to be a friend. Each hero reacts in their own way when faced with adversity, but it is friendship that proves to be their greatest magical power, before which all obstacles vanish.
