Mikhail Mikhailovich Prishvin (1873-1954) - writer, publicist, "singer of Russian nature". Throughout his life, M. Prishvin observed the world around him, kept diary entries. In addition, he was seriously fond of photography, or, according to the writer, "light painting". Many lifetime editions of M. Prishvin came out with photographs taken by him. In the book Fox's Bread. Stories, the writer's works are illustrated by the Russian artist Ivan Tsygankov.
M. Prishvin's stories about nature are included in the programs of compulsory and extracurricular reading at school. The collection includes such famous works of the author as "Fox Bread", "Meadow", "Golden Meadow", "Birchbark Tube" and others, as well as an excerpt from the story "Pantry of the Sun".
