In an ordinary Moscow apartment lives an ordinary hippopotamus named Benedict. He is seven and a half years old. He loves to wash down sugar cookies with milk, listen to frogs croaking, and read books. No one in his entire life had ever told Benedict that being a hippopotamus was a bad thing. But the moment he started school, a classmate announced that Benedict was a stupid hippo and didn't belong at a desk. What is he to do now? How can he tell his dad that he doesn't want to go to school anymore? And is it possible to be friends with someone who bullies you?
