"Potion-Making" is one of the most popular board games in Russia. It is an alchemy simulator: using special cards that list recipes for magical substances and their components, players create various potions, elixirs, and talismans, earning victory points for their experiments. The more complex the recipe, the more points it yields. For example, from ether waves and a phoenix feather, you can make a "two-point" solution of eternal youth; if you mix it with an elixir of fire, you get a great elixir of rebirth worth six points; and any two great elixirs combine into a supreme elixir – which is ten points, a serious claim to victory.
The gift edition of "Potion-Making" includes all three releases of the game: "Practicum," "University Course," and "Alchemists' Guild." Thus, this set allows you to play "Potion-Making" with the "base set" alone, or with the addition of the first, second, or both expansions. Additionally, inside the box, you will find bonus materials not present in standard editions of the game: the "Alchemikote" creature card and alternative sequences for creating the philosopher's stone for the "Alchemists' Guild."
