Andrey Sergeyevich Nekrasov (1907–1987) was a Russian Soviet writer. His famous novella "The Adventures of Captain Wrongel," about the incredible exploits of the old sea dog Captain Wrongel and his two friends and assistants, Lom and Fuchs, was first published in 1937. In his youth, Andrey Nekrasov himself was a sailor, visiting both the Far North and the Far East, and no matter what he was doing, he always read a great deal and wrote down sea yarns and tall tales. Andrey Nekrasov's cheerful novella about Captain Wrongel has long since become one of the most beloved and popular works. After all, only such a courageous captain could handle a shark with a lemon, neutralize a boa constrictor with a fire extinguisher, or turn ordinary squirrels in a wheel into a propulsion system. The fantastic adventures of Captain Wrongel, his first mate Lom, and sailor Fuchs, who set off on a voyage around the world on the two-person sailing yacht "Beda" (Trouble), have delighted generations of dreamers, fantasizers, and everyone filled with a passion for adventure.
