The main feature of the proposed methodology is that the comprehension of theoretical foundations of music is achieved by teaching children to compose melodies, improvise, and play accompaniment during solfeggio lessons.
All necessary theoretical information is contained in the provided rule-songs. This significantly saves time in class, as it eliminates the need for tedious note-taking. To avoid copyright infringement, the book does not include all the musical material used in the lessons. The exceptions are a few rule-songs whose authorship could not be determined, but which have long been used in lessons by many teachers.
