Childhood is a time when something magical appears in everyone's life. For some, it’s a talking bicycle; for others, an abandoned village of giants; and for some, a friend—a very, very tall girl who bakes the most delicious cookies. Sevka, the protagonist of Nina Dashevskaya’s story "Willie," has all of this. Like all children, he dreams of true friendship and believes in miracles, and they certainly happen to him. That is, of course, not only miracles happen to him, but Sevka never loses heart. He is certain: in the end, magic always triumphs over any troubles!
At first glance, there is a lot that is incredible in the story "Willie," but in reality, everything is just like life. After all, this is a story about a very ordinary boy for whom you worry and rejoice as if he were your best friend.
