Here you go, dear little ones from 2 to 102, this beautiful book of favorite carols and shchedrivkas, which you can also listen to using the QR code in our free music app — it includes famous performers, new musical ensembles, and excerpts from two newly created Christmas symphonies by Myroslav Skoryk and Ivan Nebesny, the production of which I was fortunate enough to oversee last year. I have long dreamed of such a book, and I asked the artists, especially Andriy Poturaylo, to make the illustrations resemble a Ukrainian Christmas Paradise (as in the carol "God is Born..."), where everyone is finally home and everyone is caroling to one another, where it is bright and cozy everywhere, and smoke curls from chimneys, uniting heaven and earth and transforming into angels of Christmas comfort (as in the shchedrivka "The sky is covered with bright stars"). I will be happy if this book inspires someone to learn at least two or three carols, so they can sing them with friends and experience a hitherto unknown pleasure... Just in case, I will remind you that people carol at Christmas, and they sing shchedrivkas for the Old New Year. Ultimately, the Christmas cycle lasts from Christmas Eve until Epiphany. So let us carol with inspiration and sing shchedrivkas with enthusiasm — for the joy of good people and ourselves! May our incredible Christmas songs resound everywhere — in every city, in every village, in every home — all over Ukraine, all over the world where there are Ukrainians, because I believe that our shared caroling is capable of creating a special spiritual unity and eradicating all defilement.
