Native literature and the great masters of the Russian language were the main themes in the work of artist Nikolai Ustinov. "Behind the apparent lightness and airiness of his brush lies painstaking labor and many hundreds of kilometers that the artist has traveled across his native land," writer Yuri Koval said of him. "It is simply incredible how one person can see so much, know so much, and manage to show it all on a simple sheet of paper..."
The new collection of works by Russian classics illustrated by N. Ustinov includes poems by Alexander Pushkin, Yevgeny Baratynsky, Vasily Zhukovsky, and Nikolai Yazykov.
