The novella "The Princess Method" is a finalist in the All-Russian "Kniguru" contest for the best work for children and youth.
Anya and Masha are best friends and neighbors. They attend different schools, but go to rhythmic gymnastics practice together. One day after class, Anya's envelope with money goes missing. The friends launch an investigation: Masha uses a tried-and-true method of deduction, while Anya uses the princess method. She doesn't yet know that it's a method: she simply writes down her experiences of the day in the form of fairy tales. But these tales bring the girls closer to solving the mystery and help restore justice within the gymnastics group, which, like almost every group of children, had its own princesses, fools, and outcasts.
The novella is decorated with light, elegant illustrations by Lyudmila Milko.
