A New Year's fairy tale about a dream that seems unattainable. A life-affirming story about the fact that your destiny is in your own hands after all. An ironic and psychologically insightful story about creative spirits. Yulka the Christmas tree was born in a nursery on the edge of a highway. There, the little trees grow so close that their branches almost touch. They look up at the sky and dream of growing up to be the tallest, the slenderest, so they can end up at some furniture factory. But Yulka the Christmas tree dreamed of lights and fireworks. She dreamed of her branches bending under the weight of ornaments and garlands, and a huge star shining at her top. Yulka wanted to become a Christmas tree.
