Little hearts on the snow

By Andrew Katz & Al

Julia has a special delivery to make... for her friend in the snowy forest.
Julia loves winter, but she misses her friends in the forest, who cannot come out to play with her during the cold season. When she discovers that the animals are having trouble finding food under the snow, she sets out on an expedition to bring a gift to her friend Bertrand the bear, a book lover. But pulling her heavy sled alone through the woods proves impossible. Could the pretty heart-shaped footprints be a sign that help, and perhaps a new friend, is nearby?
With its sparkling illustrations that immerse us in a magical setting, this warm tribute to the winter season and the cozy pleasure of reading with friends invites children to make their own snow angels, then head inside to warm up with a book and a treat.
The book also includes an informative section on animal habits during the cold period, as well as the recipe for Bertrand’s winter specialty, to cook as a family.
