The "Reading is Truly Interesting!" book series is designed to gradually build children’s thoughtful reading skills by sparking curiosity, encouraging the desire to read independently, improving reading proficiency, and developing cognitive interests.
The series has a unique feature: stories with a single plot line and a small cast of characters.
The books correspond to different levels of difficulty:
Level 1 – "I Am Starting to Read" (30-100 words) – short stories dominated by simple sentences.
Level 2 – "I Read with Help" (50-250 words) – simple plots, accessible vocabulary, and a gradual increase in syntactic complexity.
Level 3 – "I Read Independently" (250-750 words) – more complex but still accessible plots, new vocabulary, and figurative language.
Level 4 – "I Read with Pleasure" (700-1500 words) – works of diverse genres and themes to develop cognitive interests.
