Roald Dahl's final book was published in 1991. However, his long-time collaborator Quentin Blake only illustrated the tale of Billy and the Minpins in 2016. It is in this edition that the book is being published in Russian for the very first time.
The book was a recipient of the "Red Book" award in 1991. In 2017, British media named the release of the edition featuring Blake's illustrations one of the five most anticipated children's books of the year.
Mom insists that the Forest of Sin is very dangerous. But little Billy is drawn to everything forbidden! In the forest, he meets tiny people — the Minpins. They live inside trees and never come down to the ground for fear of the terrible Gruncher, who snaps them up like seeds. The Gruncher wouldn't mind a taste of human, either! So what should Billy do: run home while he's still alive, or save the Minpins from the fire-breathing monster?
