Rose Lagercrantz is a popular Swedish author and recipient of many awards. The "Dunne and Happiness" series is her most published work: it has been translated into dozens of languages and named one of the best children's books. Young readers all over the world closely follow the happy life of a girl named Dunne, and for many, Rose Lagercrantz's books become the first ones they read on their own: the font is large, the chapters are short, and the illustrations by Eva Eriksson are charming and sweet.
The first summer vacation of Dunne’s life has ended, and she is returning home to Stockholm and school. Fortunately, school is not just about lessons: in September, the teacher took the second-graders to Skansen, an open-air museum with a large zoo. Everything was going great until the mean Vicky and Micki upset Dunne—so much so that she fell behind the class and got lost. It all would have been terribly sad if not for Ella-Frida! After all, your best friend is always exactly where you need them to be! Dunne dreams of telling her dad about her adventures, but in the evening, he is, as always, busy with his own affairs: lately, dad has been thinking only about his friend Vera…
