This book collects works by two classics of children’s literature — poet S. Marshak and artist V. Konashevich — which were originally published as separate booklets in the early 20th century. These include "The Tale of the Silly Little Mouse," "Fire," "The Scattered Man," English nursery rhymes, and others. S. Y. Marshak highly valued the artist’s talent, writing: "It is with gratitude and pride that I can note that my first books for children were adorned with Konashevich’s drawings." Books with V. Konashevich’s bright, festive illustrations continue to delight children today.
