S. Ya. Marshak loved and studied Russian folklore. The lines of the famous short folk children's song "Tili-bom! Tili-bom! Cat's house caught fire ..." once inspired the children's poet and storyteller Samuil Marshak to create a beautiful fairy tale "Cat's House". For more than half a century, all children have been reading this dramatic fairy tale with pleasure in books and watching it in puppet and musical theaters, acting out in amateur children's theaters, at matinees in kindergartens and at elementary school.
