The first book in the "Lightfall" series introduces Bea and Cad, two friends trying to save their world from falling into eternal darkness.
Deep in the heart of the planet Irpa lies the Salty Pig's Tonic and Tincture Shop, home to the wise Pig Wizard and his adoptive granddaughter, Bea. As keepers of the Infinite Flame, they live a quiet and peaceful life, creating medicines and potions for the people of their once-thriving world.
Everything changes one day when, while walking in the forest, Bea meets Cad, a Galdurian, a member of an ancient race believed to have long been extinct. Cad thinks that if anyone can help him find his missing people, it is the Pig Wizard.
But when they both arrive home, the Pig Wizard is nowhere to be found: all that remains is a canister of the Infinite Flame and a mysterious note. Fearing for the Pig Wizard's safety, Bea and Cad set out across Irpa to find him, while a danger emerges from the shadows into the light.
Will these two unlikely friends be able to find the beloved Pig Wizard and prevent eternal darkness from enveloping their world? Or has Irpa truly seen its last sunrise?
