Shy

Timmy battles their inner anxious lion in this picture book about friendship and overcoming anxiety.

Meet Timmy! There's nothing they love more than performing. At least, until it’s time to perform in front of an audience. Timmy lives in the shadow of the anxious lion who lives inside them and loves to jump out unannounced to roar away all of their confidence. As Timmy dreads the upcoming school play, they strike up a friendship with their classmate Nia. It is this camaraderie that will help Timmy overcome their shyness and tame the lion. But when it’s time to take the stage, Timmy feels the familiar thump of the lion's tail. What will Timmy do?

A story of resilience and friendship, but above all, a story of courage.
