A new book by Ulrich Hub, an acclaimed German author. A funny yet touching story about the friendship between a lame duck and a blind chicken—proof that opposites attract. The book provides an opportunity to think and reflect on questions such as: What is happiness? What can it be like, and is it necessary to search for it? Why is it important to dream? In a backyard where the sun never shines lives a lonely, lame duck. She doesn't even have anyone to share her peanuts with, of which she has plenty! The duck has never left the yard—she can't go far without her crutch, and it’s scary to leave a familiar place, step into the unknown, and change her life. But one day, a blind chicken wanders into the yard and tells the duck about her deepest desire: more than anything in the world, she wants to find a place where dreams come true. But how can she get there if she can't see? If only she had a companion!.. Unexpectedly, the lame duck decides to take a chance and sets off on a journey with the blind chicken.
